I want to Serve My Country!

Last night, my younger brother texted me about the good news for him and for my other younger half-brother. Hmm.. sounds very interesting! So, I called him and found out that they are both hired to be a policeman in our town. They will start their training maybe early next month. Wow! It's really a good news! It's been awhile that my two criminology graduate brothers don't have a permanent job and we are keep on praying about it. Finally, 2009 is a good start for them!

I remember when I was in Bahrain, I let my brother visited us for 3 times and we in fact find a job that fit for him but he rejected it because he wants to work in the Philippines as a police. He always tells us about "I want to serve my country" so we respect his decision. He was waiting for 8 years after he graduated in college but still no luck to get hired to be a policeman but he never have regrets and lost his hope. Finally, their wish come true. He told me, he is very excited and happy about the good news, I told myself at last his dream comes true and our father's dream too. If our father still alive, I am sure he will celebrate this good news not only one son you will become a police but two. Thank you, God for hearing our petition and giving this big opportunity for my 2 younger siblings.

Emergency Call

I received an emergency call from my sister who live in Bahrain 2 days ago about my other sister in the Philippines. I was kind of worried about the sad news that my sister told me. My sister was rush to the hospital because she was keep on vomiting and having a sharp pain in her stomach. They went to one of the private hospital in Zamboanga City, Philippines and stayed their for one night. The doctor examined everything from her blood, stool, urine, etc. After the findings, the doctor told her that everything is cleared except for thyroid goiter. So the doctor give her a medicine to take and she went home to her hometown. After 2 days, my sister in Bahrain called again because my sister is still in pain, so my sister from Bahrain told her to confine to the hospital for a couple of days so that the doctor can monitor her. And because of what she have been experiencing, she was dehydrated. She finished 8 bottles of dextrose and she texted me yesterday that she already at my other sister's house resting and feeling better.

Thank God nothing happened to her seriously and Praise His name for the healing! God is good all the time and all the time God is good.

Nursing's Tuition Fee

My sister told me the other day that pre-final is on Monday 15th of September 2008 for my nursing student. She is asking money for her tuition. I told her to wait for awhile until I have enough money to send for her. I cannot pay the full tuition fee for one semester because I don't have enough cash for it, so I make an installment basis which is payable for every examination. We all know the tuition fee for nursing student so expensive plus their uniform and some activities. I am so blessed because I have enough money in my paypal account for my niece tuition fee. This afternoon I send the money to her mother (my sister) and give some to my older brother because I owe him 10 kilos of pork meat for all my siblings who live close to my brother. After she got the money, I received another text from my brother in law asking for a financial support while his in Manila and waiting for the ship. I was supposed not to give him because I just sent money to his wife (my other sister) to pay for her daughter's debts while she was in Cebu but I cannot say NO to them. As long as I have money I will give them because I know their situation back home. So, I sent money to my brother in law not that big but at least it could help him out while he is in Manila and taking some classes. He is a Seaman! So he need to take some schooling.

God is giving me so much for what I asked so I would love to share it to my family as well. Here's the proof. Harvest Season for Rice

Since I bought a machine for harvesting rice back in my hometown, I am so happy to heard the good news from my brother who managed my machine. He told me yesterday that so far, he has a good income and that makes me happy. At least, I have an extra income when I go back to Philippines. I don't have to worry about rice because I have it already, I don't need to buy for our daily food. I am so proud of it because the money that I used to bought the machine is from blogging. Hard works pays it all. Wow! I know this is nothing to you guys but I just love to share the joy that overflows in my heart. You know, small amount of money and it will help a lot for me and my family.

Oh well, have a pleasant Friday afternoon to everyone!

Food Tripper

I don't know why I was so tired. I'm doing nothing all day but I was so tired. I am sure you feel the same sometimes too. All I want is to eat and eat... hmm.. I want cornbread for dinner but I don't know how to cook hehehe.. so I was waiting for my husband to come home to cook it for me. As soon as my husband told me that the cornbread is done, I grabbed the butter right away and I ate a lot. I don't know I love the way he cooked cornbread. For me it's perfect! What a life... That's why it's very obvious that I am healthy hehehe... Not to mention, I made fruit salad for dessert.

Labor Day Weekend

Wow! Labor day weekend, I'm sure most of us are going to the beach with their friends and family. Just have fun and enjoy your three day weekend. My Saturday is just fine as well, not much, I was at home all the long while my husband and kids went to the seafood market to buy some shrimps and crabs for dinner. I don't know, it's been a week now I'm craving for shrimps..hmmm yummy.. I fall to sleep at the couch while watching TV hahahaha. I'm so relaxed if my husband is around. Less pressured and stress from the kids, lol!

Need Tuition Fees!

I received a text messages today afternoon from my sister in the Philippines. I was surprised because her text messages dated 12th August 2008 and just this afternoon I got to read it. I was not expecting that they will send a text message because I just sent last month. She told me that today is the pre-final examination of my nursing student and she didn't pay her tuition yet. So I hurriedly dialed her number and called her, I forgot that the timing is different. I asked her what time is it there and she said it's 2:30Am. Oh, I woke her up! So while I was talking to her on the phone, I am also to sending the money through online system. I give to her the control number she was surprise hahaha. Now, she text me back that she picked up the money already...

Gloomy Wednesday

Today's weather is nice here in Oceanside, California not too hot outside in fact I was outside my patio sitting for a couple of minutes to unwind, my back is aching just sitting at the computer most of the day, huh! It's gloomy Wednesday, I like it not too warmth inside our house, we are not using AC for how many days now because our AC is not working. I don't know the owner is not really paying attention or she is just busy. It's kind of nice though at least our electricity is not that much, lol! Hopefully the weather is like this everyday to cool down.

Anyway, time for preparing dinner. I have to check what to prepare for dinner, husband is on the way. So I have to go now and see you later guys.

Boring Sunday Afternoon

How are you guys? How's you Sunday? Hopefully everything turns out good. Our Sunday afternoon is not really good. We just stayed at home and take a rest, watching movie, not much to do actually. I don't want to go out because I was not in the good mood for window shopping, so from church we came home right away and have some lunch and just rest beside it was really hot, huh! My husband tried to put our boys down for a nap but they don't want to take a nap so my husband watch the kids and I was the one taking a short nap. It's really boring afternoon for us. We didn't do that much for today, it's like Sunday is our resting day.

On the other part, I was keep on waiting to get some task today, hehehehe.. just keep on refreshing until I got one.

Deal or No Deal Philippine Version

I was watching Deal or no Deal the Philippine version. The constant was from Zamboanga Sibugay, Philippines. Her goal is to win the two million pesos so that she can buy a farm for her parents back home. She was run-away from their home at the age of 13 and flew to Manila to look for a better future. It was kind of emotional because for more than 10 years, she didn't see her family. Her story is kind of sad, while I was watching the interview of her parents, I didn't noticed I have tears in my eyes and I started crying. I don't know why, when it comes to family I am so emotional. The Deal or No Deal team brought her parents and 2 siblings to the studio to surprise her. Ms. Kris Aquino (host) told the constant to look at all the 26K and asked her if she know one of them, she said only Charmel (one of the 26K), when she decided to choose the #22, Ms. Kris asked her, do you know here? She said NO. Ms. Kris said she is your younger sister, we bring her here from Cebu. She didn't win the 2 million pesos but the reward of seeing her family is more than 2 million. Yes, it was really emotional moment.

Family is always a family no matter what.
