Today for the first time in the history of coal mining, the Emery County mine in Utah where 6 miners lost their life last year, was fined a record 1.85 million dollars. The Fed also levied an additional 500,000 dollars against a Mining consultant and others for faulty inspections. At first investigators were told that the cause of the collapse was a nearby earthquake but those assertions were unfounded according to seismologists. The investigation revealed that the roof of the mine was improperly secured with pillars that are designed to be support for the weight of the land above it. As a result the roof gave in and trapped the miners in a dark, air tight tomb.

Fipilina Entertainer in Japan
I was reading an article today and it caught in to my immediate attention about a Filipina who worked in Japan as an entertainer. According to the report, she was missing for a couple of days until they decided to find her. I was shocked to know about this Filipina entertainer in Japan who was a found dead and her body was chopped. They found her body inside the suitcase. She is the second victim of the Japanese suspect Hiroshi Nozaki. The first victim was also a Filipina but Nozaki was only jailed for three years. The suspect admitted that he did the crime. The Japanese killer is in jail but justice has yet to be served to the gruesome death of the two Filipina victims.
I feel sad about this tragic news, she is working hard to support her family back in the Philippines but now her family received her as an ASH inside the container jar. They didn't even see her for the last time and to bid farewell. A lot of our countrymen are encountering similar problems in Japan, many of whom are battered wives of their Japanese husbands. There's one Pinay who decided to take her life instead of opting to go to jail.

US Navy leaves Myanmar
I was reading the news this afternoon and an article caught my attention about US Navy Ships trying to help Myanmar, we all know that Myanmar is experiencing bad situation right now because of the cyclone that hit them. Secretary of Defense Mr. Robert Gates said that he will make a decision within a matter of days to withdraw the US Navy ships from the coast of Myanmar, " it is pretty clear the regime is not going let us help". I feel sad about this situation that Myanmar has, they have the choice of not accepting any help from US Navy Ships, which for my own idea is a big mistake of not taking help.

Gunman Opens Fire During Arkansas Wedding
I was reading an article this morning and it caught my attention. During an outdoor wedding in Arkansas four people were wounded as a result of a small argument with the stranger. The couple spent their honeymoon side by side in the hospital. Authorities reported the suspect was not associated with the wedding. The bride and groom, who had just completed their vows just minutes before the shooting started. The newlyweds and two guests were wounded. The shooter fled the area in a stolen truck, police said. The newlyweds remain hospitalized in critical condition today, along with the wounded guest. The fourth victim was treated and been released from the hospital. The suspect facing four felony counts of first-degree battery and a felony charge of vehicle theft. In my own opinion, he must charged with attempted murder. I felt sorry about what happened to them, a happy wedding ending in a nightmare.

Drunk Woman on the Beach
Hello everybody, I read a news article from CNN today about this fifty three year old woman who was drunk woman and was buried in sand by three man as a prank, but she suffocated to death. The three man are being charged with involuntary manslaughter. In this incident, it is not funny to haze the elderly, because we don't know what will happen next. It is a sad day when young men lose all sense of consequential thinking and let immaturity get the best of their better judgment. So hopefully, with what happened to her, this will give lesson.

US Army Apologizes
I was reading the news this morning and an article caught my attention about this one US soldier assigned in Iraq, who was accused of using the Holy Quran as a target during range practice. With the Coalition forces and the Iraqi national police working together to quell the insurgents this incident does more to strain that relationship than strengthen it. In a press conference held the other day, the senior Army General in Iraq was forced to apologize in person and present a "Humble gift" to tribal leaders. Once again, all the hard work to better our relationship comes crashing down because of someones foolish acts.

China Earthquake killed 8,500 people
Have you heard about the news this morning about the earthquake in China? I was trembling while reading the news, first came up into my mind is, God is coming back soon. After the sudden tragic at Myanmar that killed thousands of thousands of people and left a thousands of homeless, then Tornado hit in different states that killed some people as well and damaged a lot of properties, and now Earthquake in China. There is only one message for this, we have to put God first and we must admit that He is more powerful than anybody. He is in control over everything. God allows disaster like this because He knows that he can control it. Under God, however, all things are without exception fully controlled, despite all appearances to the contrary. Nothing is too large, big or small to escape God's governing hand. The Bible also teaches that God governs the universe, not only inanimate creation, but also the actions of all creatures, both men and animals. He is called the Rules of all things (1 Chronicles 29:12) the blessed and only Ruler (1 Timothy 6:15). Friends, co-bloggers, please join me in prayer to all the victims and to their love ones. I have faith that God is merciful and compassionate to all of us.
