God Wrote My Love Story-Part 2

"The continuation of God wrote my love story"

I met him at the restaurant after our choir practice and had a wonderful dinner with him but I was still not aware of his purpose, I was just broken hearted at that time from my last boyfriend, I was crying telling him everything what happened to me with my ex boyfriend while we were having dinner together. Isn't it funny? God is really working in mysterious ways, I told him that if he wants to pursue his good intension's, I wanted him to visit me at my sister's house so that he could meet my sister and brother-in-law. For the longest time, I had no interest in military men and especially foreigners and he was both. So I kept on praying to our Almighty Father that if he is the right man, God will make a way and prepare me for him. I said to Him "Lord teach me how to love this man, because he is exactly the opposite of what I am looking for". After couple of weeks I finally started to fall in love with him. So, I decided to get more advice from my office mates, friends and fellow Christians in our church, they were all very supportive and were not against him. Early January 5, 2004, I finally told him YES, you will be my boyfriend, and I was so happy because all my friends were happy for me as they liked him very much.

In February 5, 2004, it was our first month anniversary. He decided to ask my sister, brother in law and our friends about proposing to me. And on February 5, 2004 he finally did it. He sang "Matud Nila" ("that's what they said") with a couple of our Filipino friends and he also had a very special song that he dedicated to me "I pour my love on You" performed by a Christian group named "Philipps, Craig and Dean. I was really surprised at what the engagement turned out to be, because I saw a basin with water in it and a bottle of perfume. Every body was looking at each other including me and my sister and we're wondering what he was gonna do with a basin of water and perfume. So I sat down on the other couch with my sister and he was kneeling on the floor and he took one leg at a time and washed my feet with it and then poured perfume on them and kissed them. While he was doing this, he was reading the passage in the bible where Jesus Christ washed the feet of his disciples, proclaiming that He will serve them until the very end. Every body was amazed at what he did. We set the date for our wedding that night. We both agreed that it was going to be happen on the 30th of June 2004.

To be continued
