China Earthquake killed 8,500 people

Have you heard about the news this morning about the earthquake in China? I was trembling while reading the news, first came up into my mind is, God is coming back soon. After the sudden tragic at Myanmar that killed thousands of thousands of people and left a thousands of homeless, then Tornado hit in different states that killed some people as well and damaged a lot of properties, and now Earthquake in China. There is only one message for this, we have to put God first and we must admit that He is more powerful than anybody. He is in control over everything. God allows disaster like this because He knows that he can control it. Under God, however, all things are without exception fully controlled, despite all appearances to the contrary. Nothing is too large, big or small to escape God's governing hand. The Bible also teaches that God governs the universe, not only inanimate creation, but also the actions of all creatures, both men and animals. He is called the Rules of all things (1 Chronicles 29:12) the blessed and only Ruler (1 Timothy 6:15). Friends, co-bloggers, please join me in prayer to all the victims and to their love ones. I have faith that God is merciful and compassionate to all of us.

Chinese authorities say a 7.8 magnitude earthquake has killed more than 8,500 people in the southwestern province of Sichuan. The official Xinhua news agency says 3,000 to 5,000 people have died in Sichuan's Beichuan county alone. Local officials say at least 80 percent of the buildings there have collapsed, and 10,000 more people are feared injured VOA's Stephanie Ho reports from Beijing.

It befuddles me to understand how well meaning folks, like yourself, can report that "3,000 to 5,000 have died" (actually latest report is now 35,000)and with the next strike of the key say "God is merciful and compassionate to all of us".

Do we live on the same planet?

Perhaps if this tragedy happened in your own backyard I dare say your faith would be tested severely. As long as it is thousands of miles away, God is still merciful and compassionate. Let him drop a school on one of your children and you may actually start thinking for yourself and allowing yourself to question all that has been shoved into your brain over the years.

If he loves us so much and is THE example for being the perfect parent, ask yourself this -- as much as you love your children, would you treat them in the same way he treated his children in China?
