The Nursing Board Exam Result December 2011 will be released soon by the PRC. So what's the importance of passing the nursing licensure examination? What's up to those who completed degree in Nursing? Anyone who wants to pursue this career should pass the licensure exam first before getting a job. This exam is very important to nursing graduates. Passing the licensure exam and getting a license guarantee of having a better career and a future. In short, it is a ticket to a greener pasture.

What's wrong with the PRC nursing licensure exam? Why there are nursing graduates struggle on passing this exam? Can we blame student's lousiness in school? I haven't able to write the important things that happen to me this past few days, maybe because i am too occupied and sometimes it's so hard for me to concentrate. A lot of things worry me. Busy days, busy schedules... Nonsense things pop-up into my head, troubles, pains, worries, fear, too bad?
Life is a constant struggle and I know i am not alone on these struggle. I just hate the fact that I can't help those needy because i am also in need. Maybe I need to work more harder, pray a little more often, and be always optimistic that somehow God will provide everything and makes everything fine.

I woke up this morning very tired, back is still aching from the previous work last night, but so eager to get up. Today is Marc's school UN Celebration, and I'm so excited. Marc is going to perform now the song that he'd been practicing for a couple of days.
Although the program will start at 2 pm, we arrive in school at 1 pm, I know that we were very early but I just wanted to make sure that we will not going to be late on Marc's very first performance in school.
When the program is about to start, when the kids were already on the stage, ready to perform, we heard a sudden commotion from outside the school gate. Then the next thing happened, we heard children from the nearby public school screaming.Some were running, crying for help. We really don't know what happened and too confused what to do. Until a man inform us to shut the gate and
he told us the cause of the commotion. He said that there was a killer outside the gate, and that a teacher and a student were already killed. The public school that the killing happened was very near to Marc's school. So we the parents were very scared. The whole school was suddenly on panic . Parents were screaming, kids were crying. I was so shocked that I can't even moved. I was so scared that I don't know what to do knowing that the killer can get into us anytime, until I heard my niece, who was with me, told me to pick up Marc and run to the very near safe room to hide.
Minute passed that we were just inside the room together with the other parents, waiting for something good to happen. When finally my niece entered the room, that the killer is already dead, that was then that we felt secure,hearing the police coming we felt safe again.
The program resumed, but the happy spirit wasn't there anymore. I just felt happy seeing my little Marc, so innocent, performing to his best, not knowing that killing happened near us.

Since my husband is gone for his deployment, my kids and I are trying our best to be ourselves without his presence. I know it's very tough to be a mother at the same time a father to my children but we made this far. We are already half way to his deployment and not long enough we will the reunited again. Being in the military, I know now how to handle the situation that I was thought before I will not survived being away from my dear husband. This deployment make me strong enough to be independent in the strange country and live by myself with the kids without any help from my family back home. Every time I talk to my family back home, they always want me to feel very special and I am so proud to say that they love me so much. I told my family, living in the strange country is not easy but thank God, I live close to my parents in-law that they taking care of me and love me.

Oh well, time for me to fix breakfast before the kids will yell at me, lol! Hopefully we will be able to chat and see my husband today morning. Happy Tuesday to everyone!

USS New Orleans and the USS Hartford

I was watching the news last week about the U.S. Navy submarine collided with a Navy amphibious ship Friday in the Strait of Hormuz, mildly injuring 15 sailors, according to the
commander of the U.S. Fifth Fleet. The submarine USS Hartford and amphibious ship USS New Orleans are shown in Navy photos.

The submarine, the USS Hartford, collided with the USS New Orleans about 1 a.m. in the strait, which runs between Iran and the Arabian Peninsula. It is one of the busiest commercial routes for oil tankers. Fifteen aboard the Hartford were injured but returned to duty, according to a news release. Both vessels are operating on their own power. The nuclear propulsion plant on the 362-foot-long sub was not damaged, but "New Orleans suffered a ruptured fuel tank, which resulted in an oil spill of approximately 25,000 gallons of diesel fuel marine," the release said.
The New Orleans is capable of carrying almost 1,100 troops and crew. The
Hartford carries about 145.

Last Day of the Month

Wow, I can't believe today is 28th of February! Today is the last day of the month. Tomorrow is March already, Thank You Lord we are almost half way to see my husband again. I was lying down in my bed and was thinking that I've been here in Arkansas for almost 5 months here since last 4th of October of last year. My husband emailed me this morning and he told me that he is sick. I feel bad about it, how I wish he is close to us so that we can take care of him but he has a duty to do. I sent a reply saying that we will keep him in our prayer and we are always here for him no matter how far he is.

Anyway, how's your weekend so far guys? Hope your weekend is full of gladness. This morning was snowing here in our small town and the kids are enjoying playing with the snow even it just started and was raining as well. They enjoyed every single snow that they tried to catch. They don't feel the cold, lol! I let them play for awhile because they are not always getting a snow and if we will go back to California this August then they will not experience snow there. Oh, I have to go need to finish my cleaning in the kid's bedroom before they will make more mess again.

My First Driving Experienced!

This morning, I was very busy taking take of everything, since I have my driving license already so I told my kids that after their breakfast we have to go the Laundry Mat to do our laundry. They are so excited that they can go out in the house. I told them that if we will finish early before it will get really cold, I will bring them to the park but I failed them. I didn't promise to them that I will bring them to the park but if we will finish early with the laundry and some important things to do then maybe I can stop by at the park. We finished late and after our lunch we have to go to the store to buy some necessarily things we need. My eldest son was complaining to me and all he want is going to the park. I explained to them that we cannot go to the park right now because it's windy and getting cold, I don't want them to get sick. We came home and put all the stuff away and fix my bed then rest for awhile. While watching TV together with the kids, we saw the bird flying inside the house and I asked my little one where it come from and he said "from the fireplace" Yes from the fireplace because the door of the fireplace opened and maybe the bird fell down inside. Kids are enjoying the bird; they keep on chasing the bird maybe more than an hour then finally the bird get so tired. I took the bird outside and let him go.

So anyway, my morning was really busy and I never feel bored at all. My first driving experienced by myself without my in-laws are awesome. I know we are in good hands. God is taking control the steering wheel and He put his hand over us all the time.

Missing Him So Bad!

It's been more than two months now since my husband is not here with us. I miss him so bad, earlier I can't help myself but cry and the only reason of crying is "Missing Him so BAD"! It's not easy being away from your husband in a foreign land, isn't it? I thought I would be OK especially I am close to my in-laws and have my kids to keep me busy and occupied but I am wrong, there is one piece that missing and that is my husband. I feel sad every time I called Philippines and my kids want to talk to my family and always they thought that I am talking to their daddy, they always says "Hi Daddy". Being a military spouse is not easy especially if your husband will get deployed that's the worst part of being in the military. But I am proud of my husband because he protects and defends his country, fight for their freedom and keep the fellow Americans safe. He is dedicated to serve his country.

I think two days now that our communication is not constant; he said to his last email that they maybe encounter some internet connection so he cannot email me often which I understand. He called me last night after he received my emails about my cousin's death. I heard his voice for a couple of minutes and that made me so happy. Oh well, I am so blessed to have him and I don't have any regret that he is the love of my life too because he is such a wonderful husband, a father to my children and most of all he love the Lord.

Bad Medicine!

As much as I believe in the policies of FDA, they are not perfect and they make some bad decision sometimes. Unfortunately they have made a bad one lately. The only reason I am writing about this is because I want people to know. If we can recall the FDA approved Raptiva in October 2003 for the treatment of moderate-to-severe psoriasis, a chronic immune-system disease which causes thick, red, scaly patches to appear on the surface of the skin. In February 2009, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that it was investigating recent reports of Raptiva causing three deaths from PML and other severe cases of the disease in people taking the drug. The main side effects is brain infection called Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy or PML. The drug is called Raptiva and I encourage you to get all the information about this medicine and the side effects. It is our responsibility to ensure we are aware of all the risks when taking drugs especially this one. It is my opinion though that this drug should be taken off the market, the FDA has to draw the line somewhere when a drugs has more negative effects than benefits. It is up to us to make the change.

As I stated on my other blog that yesterday was a bad day for me. But I know God has a reason for everything why all these things happened. I was grieving yesterday for my cousin's death and same time I feel sorry for my best friend's who lost their house with fire. What a tragic! It is tough for me to say that I am OK after I found out of what happened to my cousin. This cousin of mine is very close to me, from the time he was born he is always with me when I was in the Philippines so it is really hard that he is gone forever. If I will going home one of this years, I know I wont be able to see his beautiful smile but his memory will still remain in my heart. I was just happy and Thankful to God that my cousin is finally rested eternally rather than he will keep on suffering his asthma. I don't really know what is the real cause of his death but since the doctor diagnosed him with Asthma so probably that is the main caused.

Anyway, how are you today guys? Hope all is well! I got up feeling better and not that tired anymore compared to the few days. I was not able to sleep good for some reason and last night I feel asleep so good. We don't have much for today especially the weather is not good. It is gloomy outside and cold. I was planning to bring the kids to the park today if it's warm but I think it won't going to happen. I am just glad that I have my driving license now, I can go to the store or to the park by myself without my in-laws. I mean I love to have them with me but sometimes they are very busy as well so I feel shy to keep on asking favor from them at least now I can do my own errands because I got my driving license already. My Husband is my New Chatmate!

Yes, my husband is my new chat mate now! Every time that he have time to go to the internet cafe where ever they are, he will find an internet cafe just to chat with us and see the kids. We've learned from our mistake as I posted from my other blog using our cell phone to call each other. That time he was in Guam and using international roaming is very expensive. Now, we both realize that we will just chat if ever he has a chance to go to the internet cafe or call us using calling card. No more none-sense discussion "telebabad", we will only discuss important things. This morning, I was cleaning the house and I didn't know that he is online so when I sit back in front of the computer again I saw his message and after a couple of minutes he called me to let me know that he is vacant and if we can chat. Of course, Yes! Who will say No to him right. I miss him so bad and so as the kids. I was so happy to see my kids that they would able to watch him on the webcam. I am happy too. I will attached here his email informing me that he got back to the ship safe.

Hon just want you to know that I made it back to the ship, I am very tired…… I was very happy that I got to see you and the boys, they looked so happy to see me…. Anyway, I want you to know that I love you and miss you very much. Big kiss.

I am glad that he has a liberty off tomorrow so we will have more time to chat. I will wait for him tonight because of our timing differences. I have to sacrifices my timing to chat with him. Anyway this is not all the time. It will happen only if they are off duty and have liberty off.

Unexpected Call from Husband!

Wow! I was really surprised when I received a call from my husband last night around 8:00PM (Arkansas Time). We had a good chat last night through emailing back and forth. He told me to wait for a couple of minutes because he will make a cup of tea for him. Before he left to his deployment, I bought a box of English tea bags and a cattle for his tea. He love tea so much simply because he is half-British! So, I emailed him back saying "OK, I will wait for you before I will put the boys to bed". Then suddenly, my cellphone rang, I was hesitant to answer the call because the number appeared was California number but it kept on ringing so I answered it and as soon as he said "HI" I was speechless at all. I don't believe that it was him especially the number is California number. I asked him why the number appeared to my cellphone is California number and I have a lot of questions about his exact location. But because he is somewhere at the pacific ocean, I have the feeling that he is using the ship's telephone. He didn't tell me their exact location for their safety but to hear his voice was enough for me. It truly meant so much to me and the boys. He was able talked to my kids before going to bed and the kids were very much happy about hearing him too.

I really do believe that no matter where you are and what you are doing, if you truly love the person, you will find a way to make him/her happy, and that's what he did! It was unexpected call from husband on Valentine's day. I am so blessed to have him. He is the man! I thanked God for giving me a wonderful husband, a good father to my children and most of all he love the Lord above all.

Love is in the Air

That's right, Love is in the air! February is much known for "Love Month". Few days more to go and the most awaited romance day are here. I'm sure, the chocolate factory and flowers shop are the busiest store at this occasion. Not to mention, the hotels and parks as well. I could still remember when I was single every valentine's day I dated with my friends. We will go to the restaurant and all we have to do is sit there and watched all those couples that are having a very romantic dinner. I don't know why we did it but I admit we enjoyed watching those couples have a dated with the love of their life.

On Saturday its valentine's day already but I don't have a date. The love of my life is not here so I will just stay at home with the kids and maybe I will just invite my in-laws to come over for a dinner. My husband and I usually celebrate valentine's day with our kids. That's is what we called family date. I am very confident to go out with my kids rather than leaving them with relatives. They are still very young minds and it happened before when my husband and I had a date then his aunt called us after 45 minutes because the kids were crying so badly. Good we just finished our dinner so we decided to come home and get the kids and we went to the mall, huh! That was our valentines date, lol!

I have two son's ages 3 years old and a little over 2 years old. As I've said, I will be working in my front yard cleaning up the mess and all the branches that fell down last ice storm. I tried to pulled some of them but it was really heavy so I went inside the house and start thinking what to do. After a few minutes, my in-laws came with their chain saw to help me out cutting all the woods. Wow! I was really thankful to them; my father in-law cut the woods into pieces while mother in-law and I was trying to help him out to make him easier to cut the woods and much quicker. Finally, we finished cutting all the woods and they left to go home and take a rest for awhile before going back to their work. After feeding the boys with their lunch, I told the eldest one to watch his brother while Mama will finish to clean up outside. And my 3 year old son was really a big helper, he let his brother sleep on the couch and both of them feel asleep. I cleaned up the front yard and dumped it to the other side of the road where there is nobody (Vacant lot) and if it gets dry and we are still here, I think I will burn them so that I will not be a big mess. Tomorrow, I will stack and file all the fire woods that my father in-law cut so that it will be ready to use next winter. I know we will not be here in Arkansas next winter because we are going back to California before then but at least if my in-laws need it. Would be easy for them to get and bring them to their house.

On the other hand, I was able to talk to my husband after cleaning my yard and we discussed a lot of things and it feels really relieved to talk to him after long hours of working outside. Now I can say to myself "Mission Accomplished! Praise God for my in-laws who helped me out.

Oh No, My Computer Deleted My Files!

I can still remember when I first got here in Arkansas and stayed with my in-laws for a couple of months. I was keeping on complaining to my husband about my computer acting weird, it took time to open and to download my blog. It was very slow and even to check emails; it won't open it right away. I was so upset and because I am not a computer expert, I don't know what to do on it. My husband said wait for me to get there and I will fix your computer. After a week, my husband came and the first thing that he did was sat down in front of my computer and tried to figure out what is wrong. Good because he have knowledge on how to fix computer and I trust him because he was able to fix my laptop as well that currently he is the one using it. So, I told him to fix my PC. He told me that my computer has a virus and need to delete some files and start cleaning it up. It took maybe a couple of hours before he got to fix my computer but some of my files were missing or deleted. One was the important files that we had and was gone.

Wow! Praise God for a very beautiful day and Thank you for the mercy and grace that He pour each and every day to all of us. He is faithful and loving. Thank YOU, Lord for keeping us safe every day. What a beautiful Thursday morning here in Arkansas, the sun was so bright and it's getting warmer. I got up late this morning because I went to bed late as well. I was waiting for my husband to get off from his work that's why I have to stay up late. I having fun talking to my dear husband who is currently in Guam right now. I'm glad that his cellphone is still working though it's roaming. I'm very happy that I would be able to talk to him even I have to stay up late because of the timing differences and have to wait until he get off from his work. I think, we have to both sacrifice to stay up late just to talk which is OK with me because I am doing nothing at home and need to talk to him and discuss some important matters. Plus kids want to hear his voice too. Well, if he is not busy and want to talk to me, he will just send a text message saying "You can call me Now" Then I will give him a call and we can talk for how many minutes as long as he is not busy. I'm not sure if how much our billing this month but I don't care how much it cost as long as we can talk. They would be probably until the 9th of this month there and then go to their next destination which I don't have any idea yet. My kids woke me up this morning because they said they are hungry already and when I looked on my cellphone's time, it is already 9:00AM.

Anyway, I have to go out today in my yard to clean up the mess that the ice storm leave, lol! Hopefully, I would be able to pull the branches out from my front yard, they are heavy and big, so I will try my best to pull them away and put them at the back of my yard.

Today is Sunday, the 1st of February 2009 and I am getting excited about the up coming valentines day to those who are celebrating this very special occasion. Well, my husband dear is not around for this occasion but still I am looking forward on this day. I remembered when we had our first valentines date when we are still engaged and he set up the date at the 5 star hotel when we are still in Bahrain. He bought my gown for me. I never expected that he will buy my gown but because he insisted that he would be honored if I will let him pay the gown that I've chosen. I was with my sister that time and my sister and I agreed to let him pay for it. I thought our date was just the two of us but I was surprised when I went to our table and it's not a table for two, it was a big table that he reserved and with out my knowledge he invited all my friends and their partners. That was really cool to see all my friends and their partner was there on that night.

I would always cherish those days and the moment that he made me so happy. I attached the pictures that we had that night with our dear friends. I miss you guys, hope one day we will see you again.

Time to Chill Out !

Good Morning friends! How are you this morning? Hope everything is doing well with you guys. Kids and I are just had finished breakfast and time to update my friends and family out there first and foremost. I know, a lot of people are concerned about our situation here in Arkansas especially when they heard the "ICE STORM". From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU so much for everything and to all the people who pray for our safety. Yes, this is my first time since I've been here in the US encountered ice storm and just by myself without my husband. At least if he is here with us, he knows what to do because he grew up in Colorado so snow and ice storm is nothing to him.

Yes, time to chill out! It's been a 3 days now that our weather here in Arkansas are not good, the road is too slippery to go out so I decided to cleaned up the ice and outside my deck so that when it melt it will not get so wet. I know, sounds silly but I just want to make sure that kids will not slide if ever they will go out and play with the snow. I am planning also to take all the branches that fell down in my front yard so that easy for me to see outside, lol! Just to have something to do, what we called "Past Time". This is the real chill out because it's chilly outside, huh!

Friends, I know that what we've experiencing right now here is nothing compare to other state that have snow everyday. But for Arkansas people, they are not so often getting this kind of ice storm every now and then so for them it's really tough, especially some of my neighborhood area have no electric power yet since the other night till now. Hopefully, they can fix the issues right away and turn the power back on as early as they can. A lot of people in horseshoe bend don't have electricity and I feel bad for them, especially to those people who run out of fire woods and how they will keep their house warm if this will stay long. I know the electric people company are working so hard to fix the problems. Oh, have to go now, kids want to play outside and I will let them play for awhile. Keep you updated, I promise!

As I mentioned in my couple of posts that my husband is not here with us. When their ship stopped at the Hawaii island, he didn't waste any time at all. He went to the store and buy some gifts for us. We received the package yesterday morning containing a pair of 2 pairs Hawaiian clothes for my 2 sons and a bracelets for myself. My kids, wore the clothes right away because they knew that it came from their daddy. They are very happy wearing the clothes and so am I. He is so thoughtful to send something for us even he only have a very short time in Hawaii.

On the other hand, he don't know that i sent something also for his birthday. I know, it's not a big surprise gift but I am sure he will be happy to receive it. So far, we have still communication with each other through emails which makes me very happy that even he is miles and miles away from us, we can still communicate. To my beloved honey: Thank you so much for your constant support and the love that you always pour on us. I am proud of you as a father to my children and a good provider as well as a good husband. Turning Off His Cellphone

I am so glad and happy that I manged to talked to my husband over the telephone since last Monday. He called and informed me that their ship is in Hawaii for a couple of days so he decided to turn on his cellphone back. He called AT&T that day and I would say that AT&T is responding so quick for his request of turning it on for a few days while he is in Hawaii. So, we don't have any problem of talking each other because we have unlimited calls. Just this evening, he called me because he wants to talk to the boys and of course his wife, lol! He told me that they are leaving Hawaii tonight so he is turning off his cellphone and to be honest, I feel sad about it. I will not hear his voice for a couple of weeks maybe until they will arrive in Guam. I am not sure if he can use his cell but I would definitely sure that he will call right after he get down from their ship. At least it's easy for him to call right away because he has a calling card already that he bought in Hawaii.

To my husband dear: I will keep on praying for your safety and good health. I know God is always there for us. He never leave us nor forsake us. Just call His name and he will answer you. I love you hon.

My Only Hope!

As I've said to my other blog, I was so busy today and I don't even have time to sit down and relax for awhile. I think, this is part of being a stay at home mother, you know. Kids keep you busy especially if they are still toddlers. I was trying to keep the house clean but after a few minutes my kids are starting to make a mess again with their toys everywhere. I am trying not to get mad at them every time that they will just leave their toys all over the place, I tried to understand that because it is cold outside, they cannot play outside so I think they feel bored just being trapped inside the house. After dinner, I told my eldest son to pick up all his toys and put them back to the bucket but he is trying to ignore me. He was not listening to what I said instead he went to his room and pulled the comforter and the blanket so I was really mad. I almost yelled at him, when I was so mad, I feel like someone is whispering me, trying to let me calm down, because I don't want to spank him, I just bend my knees, all I remembered was "Lord, please help me to let my children understand and give me more patients for them. Good because I don;t have a hard time putting them to sleep.

My only hope is God, no one else. I know, He is always there for me and he hear my cry. I'm very thankful that God is controlling my life over everything. I am proud to know You, Jesus. You are the only hope for everyone.

I want to Serve My Country!

Last night, my younger brother texted me about the good news for him and for my other younger half-brother. Hmm.. sounds very interesting! So, I called him and found out that they are both hired to be a policeman in our town. They will start their training maybe early next month. Wow! It's really a good news! It's been awhile that my two criminology graduate brothers don't have a permanent job and we are keep on praying about it. Finally, 2009 is a good start for them!

I remember when I was in Bahrain, I let my brother visited us for 3 times and we in fact find a job that fit for him but he rejected it because he wants to work in the Philippines as a police. He always tells us about "I want to serve my country" so we respect his decision. He was waiting for 8 years after he graduated in college but still no luck to get hired to be a policeman but he never have regrets and lost his hope. Finally, their wish come true. He told me, he is very excited and happy about the good news, I told myself at last his dream comes true and our father's dream too. If our father still alive, I am sure he will celebrate this good news not only one son you will become a police but two. Thank you, God for hearing our petition and giving this big opportunity for my 2 younger siblings.

My Husband is Sick!

I received an email from my husband just tonight and he told me that he is sick. I feel sad about it because I know he is like a baby when get sick, all he wants is comfort from me. But this time, I cannot do it because he is in the middle of the ocean and what sucks about it is they will be going to experience bad weather and big waves on the way to Hawaii. This project reminds me of when I was in the Philippines. We volunteered to maintain the cleanliness and tree planting of a particular area in my home town. In fact, when I went home three years ago, I went to visit the area where I used to help clean and I saw the trees that I personally planted are getting bigger and taller. I love what we have done!

Busy, Busy Morning

Wow! I can't believe that today is the busiest day for me. I got up at 8:00AM and then prepared a breakfast for my kids, after feeding them, I started vacuuming my entire house and I finished almost 11:00AM. I don't have the chance to sit down and drink my tea because I have a basket full of dirty clothes needs to be wash. Oh well, I don't have a washing machine so I have to do it manually or should I say hand washing. I looked at the clock, I didn't notice it's already 12:00 Noon and still my kids don't have lunch yet. Good because I have left over from last night so it's more easy to heat and feed them. While the kids are having their lunch, I continue hand washing our clothes but still not finished yet. After feeding the boys, I put them to bed and continue my washing. Good thing was the boys went to nap easy and quick so it was not hard for me to put them to bed.

Finally, after long hours of standing and cleaning the entire house, I managed to sit in front of the computer and did a quick post. Now, I am at peace knowing that my 2 beds are cleaned and changed as well as the carpet is vacuumed plus the boys are asleep, so I have a chance to sit back and relax and enjoy watching my favorite noon time show "Wowowee" thanks to TFC.

Chicken Noodles for Dinner

I was surprised this afternoon while I was chatting with my friend, my eldest son approached me and said "What is for dinner, mama?" I thought he is just kidding then he was talking to me that he is getting hungry. So, I told my friend that I will leave her for a couple of minutes have to prepare dinner for my boys. I asked my son "what he wants for dinner and he said I want chicken with noodles" this is a filipino dish that my kids like them. Luckily, when my husband came here he brought some noodles and other some filipino foods that we usually cook when we are still in California. After 30 minutes, I fed my boys and they just love the chicken noodles. I am so happy to watch them eating and they are enjoying their food. They are truly a filipino because they like to eat Filipino dish just like their daddy.

Oh, ok guys I will signing out for a moment need to give them a bath first before going to bed.

Last Saturday, my parents in-law, the kids and I went to Missouri because I was not familiar with the state, I asked my mother in-law how far is Branson, Missouri from where we are and she said, it's not that far, maybe few hours to drive. Hmm... I was so excited to visit Branson for so many reasons. First, I've heard that the Third Annual Ice Carving is going to be held in Branson Missouri, also I found out that they have a great places to visit like lakes, museums, theme parks and many others. This is great for my family.

Planning for a family vacation is not as easy as we think especially if we have kids, right. So, I tried to look for a cheap hotels where we can stay for a week and that are accessible to everything. Today is Tuesday, as I've said in my few posts that my husband is getting ready for deployment and as the day and date is getting closer I feel the emptiness already. I was talking to him last night and I told him not to remind me about his departure. I don't know if I am strong enough to be able to handle our separation especially that we will not have much contact because of some reasons which is very understandable as a military. I always pray and seek the Lord's guidance and strength for everyday tasks and be able to handle all this things.

This morning, when my children woke up around 8:00AM they went to the kitchen and asked me to cook a pancake like their daddy used to make for them. I told my eldest son, I will make pancakes tomorrow for breakfast but not this morning and he understand it. I know, it's really tough to be a single parent at this moment especially my children are daddy's boy. They keep on talking about their daddy and I am thankful that they never forget their daddy. Every time they will see their daddy's picture they kissed it. Earlier, my 2 year old said to the picture of his daddy "I Love you daddy, I miss you daddy" it really breaks my heart but I have to be strong for my kids and husband that needs me the most. God, I know you are always there for us and I know you always keep your promise to us that You will never leave us. Thank you for being always there for me, I cannot do this alone, I needed you the most.

Wow.... I can't believe that 2008 is almost over. I would say that 2008 for us is good although we encountered some financial problem but still the blessings that poured on us everyday is more important. How many hours more to go and everyone of us are looking forward for the 2009. I was watching earlier the local news back home (Philippines) and I was crying because I miss the countdown. It's been awhile that I don't have a memorable new year's eve, lol! I think, people in the Philippines is the most happiest celebrating the new year's eve. I miss it.. I miss it!

I was talking to my sister earlier while they are traveling on the way to our parent's place to see some of our auntie's and uncles, cousins and relatives, my sister said, after new year's eve they are already on the road on the way to the province and I am sure she will enjoy while she is there. It's been 25 years that she didn't celebrate holidays in the Philippines. So, I am sure she will have so much fun and memories while she is there. And also, she need some fresh air and to unwind after her long suffering of breast cancer. My only wish for her on 2009 is a "Complete healing and always happy".

Having A Good Day!

Today is much more better that yesterday. I woke up this morning and feel alright compare to yesterday. My kids woke up early and looking for their daddy and I told them that their daddy is working and I think they don't quiet understand. I tried to keep busy and didn't realize it was noon already. I fed my boys and put them to sleep for a nap. I sat in front of the computer for an hour to do my dropping and take a rest while watching TFC (The Filipino Channel), I'm glad that I have TFC that makes me happy and I forgot for awhile that my husband is not here with us for 7 months. It's very tough sometimes without him especially for the kids.

I was supposed to take a nap while the kids was taking their nap but I cannot resist not to watch "WOWOWEE" hehehee.. so I decided to watch rather than taking a nap. I'm happy that I'm having a good day today, although boys are not behaving good but still I'm blessed and thankful that I have them.

What a long Day for my husband

My husband left our house around 9:00AM today going to to the Little Rock Airport, from our place to the airport it takes 3 hours to get there and he needs to be at the terminal one hour before the flight and his flight was 1:20PM going to Dallas. From Dallas he has to wait for 4 hours at least before his next flight going to Phoenix and wait for another one hour before his final flight to California. I just got his text message saying that he is already in Phoenix waiting for his flight. I feel bad for him, I'm sure he is very tired and hungry but it's not long before he will be in California. I was kind of mad when I found out his flight details but he don't have a choice at all because he needs to be back at work by tomorrow December 30, 2008 and there is no other flight that he can get besides this flight.

But anyways, I'm just glad that he has a good flight although it was a long day for him. Now, I have to wait until he get in to his aunt's house and can charge his cellphone so that he can call, lol!

What's your plan for the 2009? Hmmm... it's really kind a tough question isn't it? Actually, I don't have much in mind right now, since my husband is gone for 6 months or more I don't really know what to do. I mean, for our 4 years of marriage, I guess this is the hardest year for me. I could still remember the 4 years that we've been together although there are ups and downs but still our love for each other is always there. And this year, I would miss him for not being around and I don't know if I can make my own decision or not. Before, I always consulted him before I will make my decision. Isn't it wonderful that you have someone special that can give you advice in almost everything you do. I always rely to him and I never make a decision without him. So, I think the first plan that I am going to make for the 2009 is to wait and wait for him. I will mark the calendar as the day goes by so that I am looking forward to see him and being a family again.

Sad Monday

Just now, I was crying so bad because my husband is going back to California and we will not see him for more than 6 months or maybe more than that. I told him, I will be OK but actually I'm not! We both cried, he is very emotional also, if only I could say "Please don't go" I will do that but being in the military he needs to obey first, I thought it would be easy being away from him but it's not! I know that one day we will be together again. I told him that it's hard being separated and kids growing without their daddy. Our separation is not forever so I always encourage myself that I will see him again in a couple of months after his deployment.

My in-laws came by here after they left to dropped of the van and to make it sure that I am alright. We all know that this is only a temporary sad feelings for us because in a few days I'm sure we will get use to it. My in-laws said, they will bring some dinner tonight and have some dinner together which I do really appreciate them so much. They love me like their own daughter and it makes difference and I am glad and blessed to have them.

Hello friends, how was your Christmas? Hope everything is good. We had a good Christmas and so blessed that my husband is here with us even for a short period of time only. We had a good Christmas, kids was enjoying opening their presents which is normal to all the kids. After that we celebrated our Christmas lunch at my in-laws house then after lunch we came home to our house and just watch movie.

It's been awhile that I was not able to be online ad visit my entrecard droppers because I don't have internet connection yet in my new house which it was really hard to get connected right away because of the holidays but they tried their best. At last I have internet now and I am glad that I am back to my blogging world. I miss talking to my online friends and visiting my entrecard droppers and reading their posts.

Hi everyone, as we commemorate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, please remember to our loved ones away from home. I remembered when I was in the Philippines and celebrate Christmas with my family and friends and I never felt bored at all. But this year, I am so far away from my family back home and I cannot even get hold of them. I tried to call them but all the lines are busy, oh well it's Christmas, what do you really expect? Most people across the globe are definitely calling their love ones and that's why I am having trouble to get hold one of my family back home. I will try to give them a call tonight and hopefully I will able to talk to them, I miss them so much and miss celebrating Christmas with them as well.

My husband, Kids and I are having Christmas lunch at my husband's parents so as the gift opening so probably we will be back tomorrow here and be with them. Mixed Emotion!

Wow! 6 days more to go and it's Christmas. I am getting excited to see my husband again starting tomorrow, he will be with us more or less 9 days. He will spend Christmas with us and be back to California by the 29th of this month. I am not sure if 9 days are enough for us but I would definitely sure that every moment we spend is priceless. I told my father in-law earlier that my feeling is mixed emotions because I know after 9 days, my husband will be gone for more than 6 months and I am not quiet sure yet if I would be able to handle the situation being away from him especially we don't have that much communication. I just hope that he will be back on time not more than 6 months as what normally happened to all the military who are deployed.

Foggy and Cold Afternoon!

WOW! I thought today would be a good day for us to practice driving but I guess its not because I was looking outside and it is foggy and very cold afternoon. I was thinking to get some picture of it but it looks like it doesn't show pretty good the foggy thing. My eldest son, asked me if it's smoke and if someone's house is burning because it was kind a think fog. I was laughing and explained to him and he replied "So, you mean after that fog is gone, there is a rainbow?" Funny huh! He is very smart to think this kind of stuff so I have to be careful to answer his questions especially if I am not really sure with my answer. I don't want to mislead with them.

Ah well, have to go now, have to fix dinner and cleaned up my room so that tomorrow morning I don't have much to do. I am trying to clean the bedroom before my brother in-law comes in, so I better keep going before it gets dark.

Hi peeps! How are you all today? Hope everything is doing well. I know some of us are not used to the cold weather like me, huh! I am always feel cold even we have heater on but still it's very cold here! The most important thing that keeps me warm is hot tea... hmmm... yummy! We are always make it sure that we have tea all the time. I love to stay longer in front of the computer but my hands are freezing, I know sounds silly but it's true! So I don't stay in front of the computer lately because it's very cold even I have sweaters on or I am wrapped up but still..... Ha! Sorry folks, I came from the tropical country that we don't have winter hehehee... only rain and summer, huh! I've been out in the country for more than 8 years but still I'm not use to the cold weather.

Home Theater

You know, my husband and I used to enjoy going to the movies and seeing the newest releases. But ever since my two son's came along it became a little difficult to watch a movie while you were trying to keep them quite or chase them around the theater. That is why we switched to the home theater way for all our movie favorites. Even though we get to watch movies now, we still do not watch the "R" movies just because we don't want out boys exposed to that kind of stuff. We will even find a quality movie fit for the whole family to the boys can watch as well. Spending family time together is important, the boys like the popcorn and sitting in between mom and dad on the couch, so we plan on doing a lot of this as they grow older. I have always been a fan of the family friendly movies that have a good message about life and the trials that we will encounter. On of the new movies coming out this year is a film titled "All Roads Lead Home". The story is about a young girl who loses her mother to an auto accident and her father who is trying his best to cope with the loss of his wife and raising a daughter. Watching the trailers I will make this movie one of our must see movies after it comes out, it has some great lessons about life and how to get through the tough times. Wow, today we are supposed to have snow according to the weather forecast. Kids and I are looking forward to have a snow so that I can let him play in the snow for awhile but instead of snow we have a icy. My in-laws don't have to go to work because they said if it is icy the road is too dangerous so their company called them and told them no work for today and tomorrow, which is good at least they can have some days off!

Well, I was disappointed to see the snow today because it never happens but we have ice hopefully tomorrow there will be a lot of ice so that I can let the kids play even for a couple of minutes only. We are keep on singing let it snow, let it snow let it snow! I know for some of us don't like snow but I just want to have a snow for a day so that I can let my kids play, lol!

If you have young children like I do, then you know that getting a full night's sleep is nearly impossible, especially with toddlers. They are always waking up for some reason and crying for mom and dad. Sometimes they get scared or had a dream and want some comfort. All of this is normal and all of us live to accept the fact that we will have to get up at least once or twice a night to comfort our children. But there are the few times that they sleep all the way through the night with out any interruptions, and those are good nights. I had one of those last night, I went to bed early after I made sure the boys were covered under the blanket and we all slept through the night. It was so wonderful to wake up in the morning after a full good night's sleep. They woke upo very early though, but that's alright grandpa and grandma was awake already sp we just sat on the living room and have a good conversation until we decided what we gonna do for the rest of our Saturday.

I just love Christmas!!! Lots and lots of food, fun, decorating and PRESENTS!! In know that Christmas is all about the giving aspect and making sure that others are taken care of during the season, but lets be honest, a small part of us still likes to get gifts from the rest of the family. As we get older we tend to get a little more elaborate with out gifts though and sometimes we even get something for someone knowing down right that everyone in the family will get to use it and have fun with it. Thank God it's Friday! At least our hard week is over and now looking forward for the weekend. I'm sure most of us are going to do more shopping tomorrow and busy wrapping all those presents for our loved ones. Some of us received already this paycheck early especially for those who work at the government agencies I am sure you have a lot of money to spend for Christmas. Just extra careful about the heavy traffic, hehehee... We will be going tomorrow with my parents in-law at their Christmas party at work because families are invited so we probably go out for awhile and before that we have planned already to go grocery shopping and get more presents for the boys, sounds really plan, huh! I will not spend anymore for myself because I over spent the other day to buy clothes from VS so it will be here before Christmas. I bought special gifts for my husband as well, I know he will love this and will enjoy while he is on the ship resting.

A Dear Friend or Ours!

This family that I featured in my site today is a dear friend of ours. They are the first family that I knew when I first came to California. We attended the same church and we have some fellowship together. I love all of them. They raised their children in a godly way and I would really say that I am proud of the parents the way they raise their children.

I showed to Joseph (My eldest son) their pictures and he could still remember their names. In fact, he saw Abby's picture and said "Abby, is my girlfriend" I don't have any idea where he get those word and how he know it. Abby is his friend. She is a sweet little girl that look out after him when they are playing. Hopefully, our friendship will grow stronger and stronger even we will not see each other very often.

I miss you guys! When I open my emailed this morning and saw your family picture, I cried! To Carrie, I will keep you in our prayers that you will going to have a safe delivery and have a healthy pregnancy.

I always laugh at how presidential candidates voice their opinions about things they do not like and how they will change things when they get elected. I was chatting with my niece this afternoon and she told me that she need something from me. She is the youngest daughter of our eldest sister. I know most of us are counting the days until Christmas but mine is different. I'm counting the days to see my husband again. It seems the days are too slow if you are waiting for someone special, right? I thought today is Friday but it's not! My mother in-law said "I wish today is Friday" I know they are looking forward to the weekend as well, if your working 5 days a week, all you want is weekends. I know that feeling because I've been there I was working since I was in high school, I only stopped working after I got married. Wow! it's been 4 years now since I am not an office girl but I never complained for not working at all. I love being a stay at home mom. So anyways, 9 days more to go and I will be seeing him again, he will be here for at least 9 days. During that time we will be very busy because I will be moving in to our house and have a lot of things needs to be finished and I don't know if we will have enough time for it but I don't care if it will not get done as long as we will have a quality time together as a family before he gets back to California. Honey, I am looking forward to see and be with you again.

Wow! I feel so tired tonight, I don't know why? Maybe because I was busy earlier putting all the stuff that I have to put away plus my driving lesson gives me more tension, lol! I think after chatting with my sister back home, I have to go to bed so that I can get some rest. Hopefully my son will not keep on waking up and asking for water. I don't know lately my kids are keep on waking up in the middle of the night and asking for water. I never give them sweet food or salty food but during night time they ask for water, which I think good for them too.

Marine Tragedy!

Yesterday my husband informed me that they had an airplane crash in San Diego, so I got on the internet to see what had happened. He called an told me because it was a Marine fighter jet that went down in a residential neighborhood not to far from where he works. It is kind of a big deal when a military jet crashes because they are supposed to be highly maintained. I was shocked to find out today that 4 people were killed in one of the houses that got hit by the plan and what's even more sad is that 2 of the victims were under the age of 2. When things like that happen I cannot help but think about my 2 boys and the pain that I would go through if I lost even one of them. Both of the adults were women, the mother and grand mother so that means that one unlucky man came home to absolute tragedy. Please pray for that man so that is pain and grief will be short.

I was just sitting in the couch this afternoon while the boys are taking a nap, it was a quiet moment and I have the time to count my blessings and name them one by one. No, I Don't Like to Play With You!

Oh boy, mama was very busy this morning. I haven't noticed it's almost lunch time already. So, I went to the kitchen and my kids was in the living room playing with Chester (dog). My eldest son told his younger brother to play with him with their toys in the family room but my youngest son refused to play with his brother so the big brother keep on bugging his brother to go to the family room so that they can play together. I don't know what happened, all I've heard from the younger brother was "No, I don't like to play with you!" I try to sneak on the living room and I saw the younger one facing on the other corner while the big brother was keep on talking to him. I don't have any idea where he got those words but I have the feeling from the big brother as well. I told the younger one to apologize to his brother but he said "NO" so I have to let him face the consequences of what he did to me. I put him in time out for 3 minutes and he approached me in the kitchen and say sorry to me and to his brother. He is a loving brother. I forgot that today (Philippine Time) is my older brother's birthday. He sent me a text message saying "Happy Birthday to me, you just forget it's my birthday today", I feel so bad about it, I forgot his birthday. Actually, I have a good memory when it comes to birthdays to my families even to my neighbor's birthday I know that date and year. But my own brother I forgot. Then, he called me so we talked for more than 30 minutes over the phone and he was so happy because his wife came home from Bahrain with my sister and niece before on his birthday. He said, that was a big gift that he received to be with his wife on his birthday and to celebrate Christmas together.

Bro, I know you understand but anyways, I just want you to be happy and enjoy your birthday with your family. May you have more birthday's to celebrate and good health for you and your family.

Jobless for 5 Years?????

Oh Yes, he is jobless for more than five years now. I don't know if he is not lucky enough to find a job or just lazy to find a job. Oh boy! I am really having problem with my half-brother because he is not working at all. He graduated last 2003 before our father passed away from then he is trying to look for a job. He went to Manila (Philippines) to look for a job but hard luck because he was there for more than 4 years and he only work for maybe 5 months and he resigned for some reason. So, I decided to send him home while his mother (my beloved step-mama) is sick to taking care of our mama. Until last April of this years our dear mama passed away. Now, I always received a text message from him asking for financial support at first couple of months I was able to send some money for him and our little sister. Until one day, I realize that he is not trying to look for a job and just contented of what I send to him and of course not to mention the pension of our both parents plus the income of our little coconut plantation and the rice field that we inherit from our parents.

The other day, I was mad at him because he leave an offline message and I was pissed off of what he said. I was so mad at him and from the day one since he was in college until now I am the one who is always there for him. I tried to think of what I've said to him and Now what's next? I know he feel bad of what I say especially he never heard from me of saying anything against him. All I want is, he will realize that not all the time I am there for them. Good he is still single but what if he will get married what he going to feed his family? Sand and Mud? Hopefully, this upcoming Christmas we can talk and he can forgive me. I love him and I treated him as one of our real siblings.
